Akas is a free page built by Ka Vatana, founder of CHNAI LAB, in Phnom Penh. This is version 1. It has no
accounts, no payments and no advertising, and it keeps none of your data on a server.
What it keeps
The province you chose, your language, and the last reading for that province and for the map of the country
are kept in your own browser, so the page opens quickly and opens with no connection.
What it does not do
No accounts. It never asks for a name, a phone number or an email.
No cookies, no trackers and no advertising.
It never asks for your device's location. You choose the province yourself.
The service the data comes from
To get a reading, your browser asks Open-Meteo directly. Open-Meteo is the service that publishes the weather
data. It sees your IP address, the coordinates of the 25 provincial towns (the same list for every visitor)
and those of the town you chose. It gets nothing else from this page, and the request does not pass through
any server of ours.
The company that hosts the page
The page is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, when you open it the host sees your IP address and browser
type in order to deliver the page. We do not use that data.
Delete your data
All of it is in your browser. Press this button to remove it.
